Hello everyone.  Long time no see I know. You are all probably wondering what such an ominous title is doing on my journal after just returning to DA after months of absence.  Well let me start from the beginning.
While I was gone from this page and sorting out my life, I had finally gone to a convention for the first time in years. I took some pictures,  met some people,  and they all wanted to know where they could find said photos online when I posted them.  After coming back, looking at the rest of my gallery in light of the photos I have taken for people,  it just doesn't look good to have cosplay photos next to the heap of bad base art, abandoned fan fiction and other signs of my early years of DA. That being said,  I am going to be deleting all of my photos and moving them to a separate account exclusively for that. I am sorry to anyone who actually liked the photos I have shared but I want my work in the photography medium to be taken seriously and it won't be when its lumped in with everything I have in this gallery.  That being said,  expect a lot to change on here in the coming weeks.
As for where my second account will be,  I am going to be privately contacting people on where to find it. Catch you later guys.

Holy shit did that escalate quick!!! While everyone else is bitching about the dark tone he series has taken, I'm actually embracing it (and indulging in some trolling in the RWBY Facebook group I belong to) and like how the series has gotten more mature. We're still yet to see some actual blood and I'm surprised no one has swore this far in. But damn, the shit that happened really twisted the plot harder than testicular torsion on an elephant! I give a lot of credit to the writers for coming up with such a great story that could really pull a 180 on the viewers. That being said, let's just bullet off some points  I think I can discuss without spoiling anything for anyone.

1) Beacon is no more: The fact that the school is leveled so soon in the series to me is the biggest twist. Normally in series like this, the characters return to their base of operations after major story arcs to hone up on their skills or gain new powers by going away on training exercises to bulk them up for the next challenge. But now that the cast is on the move, I'm a little worried that the series is going to keep the characters at a low/mid tier of action/power level. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with that when its done right. FMA, Soul Eater, Tenho Tenge, Rourni Kenshin, Inuyasha and others like them were great stories with low stake/low destruction level action but honestly RWBY is one of those series that I saw reaching big destructive levels. Not like the Big Shonen Five (DBZ, FT, Naruto, OP, Bleach) or Homestuck where people are planet busting or terrain busting levels of strong, but at the very least city busting like the later half of Sailor Moon, A Certain Magical Index, Blazblue, and others where the characters went from casual level destruction like in FMA to ludicrous power levels. I'm not sure how powerful RT plans on making the cast of RWBY, but I just hope they don't make them too low a tier after everything that's been introduced to the series.

2) Roman is dead: RT confirmed it themselves. Extremely anti-climatic considering how Roman was just eaten on the spot. I know he wasn't meant to be a lasting character, but the way he went out was very lackluster. They could have at least given him some better last words.

3) Humanoid Grimm exist: After seeing Salem, its pretty clear that they do. I'm not going to discuss the whole fact of her looking like the Maiden of Winter, you can go to another site or forum and do that. I'm more interested in how a person could become like that without losing their mind to a feral state of being. The finale introduced us to mythical Grimm and humanoid Grimm, my hope is that there will be a parasitic or symbiotic type Grimm next. Those would explain how Cinder stole Amber's powers and how Salem became the way she is now.

4) Ruby's Eyes are special: Saw that coming a mile away. Someone had even cracked the code to it after matching the series with the original story of The Wizard of Oz. Dorthy had silver slippers, not ruby slippers, in the book. With Ruby as the Dorthy, Ozpin as the Wizard, Glinda as the Good Witch, Ironwood the Tin Man, Qrow the Scarecrow, and now Salem as the Wicked Witch its pretty easy tale from here. We'll get the other roles filled and the story will probably follow a dark tone like the book did. Honestly I don't see why people are so surprised by this.

5) Pyrrha is dead: I'm not apologizing if I spoiled that for you. You had three days to catch the episode, your fault for not seeing it. Yeah, it was sad with Jaune's first love and kiss dying the way she did but honestly I'm not that moved by it. The build up made it obvious and Pyrrha was never a major character to begin with. If she was, we would have spent more time developing her past which never happened (most likely due to the tight budget the show is on) and she was in my opinion borderline Mary-Sue. Is it tragic? Yes. But people need to get off of it. Even I'm sick of trolling people over it now. HOWEVER, if there is one thing to learn from this its that there is no plot armor in this series. Anyone can die at any moment. So like Akame ga Kill and Attack on Titan, don't get overly attached to characters. Chances are we're gonna see more heads roll next volume.

6) Still haven't seen Jaune's semblance: Extremely disappointing. Considering the fact that no one has a way to develop their skills now with the story on the road, chances are we aren't going to see it till the next volume finale. RT trapping us to stay on board with the show or milking the franchise of a dead man for their own profit? Sorry if that sounds mean but I'm skeptical when it comes to entertainment and no company is clean when it comes to making the most off of people's creations whether they be true to the creator's wishes or not. Don't believe me? Ask Don Bluth, Kojima, Massashi Kishimoto, and Stan Lee.

7) Blake is a coward: I've gotten into this debate a hundred times already, I'm not coming off my ground. Blake didn't run because she wants to protect her friends or because she feels guilty, she did it because she's a coward. Let's look back at other times she's bolted. When the White Fang started killing people and Adam went psycho, when her friends found out she was a faunus, volume 2 she distanced herself from her team trying to figure out what the White Fang were up to because she didn't want them in her work, every time she's questioned on ethics (Ozpin asking what she is or whats-his-name asking her what the path for equality was) she backs away, when the situation with Yang getting arrested came up she tried to be as far away from the situation as possible, and immediately after the events in Vale she bolted without a word. What I'm getting at is that Blake is emotionally fragile. The moment things get on a personal level she can't deal with the situation and runs away physically, figuratively, or both. But that doesn't make her a bad character. In fact it makes her more relatable. Think about it, someone between the ages of 18-25 who has just been put through that much stress isn't going to know how to handle the situation and the responsibility. Its wrong that Blake does this yes, but this gives her character something she has to overcome to further develop as a person and mature. So rather than jump down the throat of anyone who criticizes her, let's instead look at this as potential character development.

8) Qrow turns into a crow: Seriously not impressed. That ruined the end credit scene for me. Doesn't invite anything new or hint at what the hell is going on, and I'm pretty sure a majority of people predicted that would happen.

That's all I gotta say. What are your thoughts?

Hello everyone. Sorry I haven't been active too much lately. I got 3 weeks left of school and I'm gonna be devoting myself to finishing class projects during that time. In the mean time though, there is something I really wanted to talk about and that's all the stuff that's got me excited now these days.

With the 2010s here, everyone born between 1989 and 1993 are officially in there 20s and are grown adults. With this, we've seen a lot of drastic changes in society and what's considered retro/nostalgic is different too. One of the biggest changes in this time period is that its socially acceptable for young adults between the ages of 20 and 30 to watch animated series and movies. That being said, this time has kinda been a dark period for me, almost like back in grade school. While everyone else I know is getting a nostalgia feel from the new Pokemon GO app coming out making their childhood favorites be brought into the real world, joining the major fandoms like Steven Universe and Gravity Falls, falling in love with games like Undertale, and overall being a part of large fan communities I've been the odd one out. Mostly due to the fact that I don't have that much time to sit down and devote myself to new series and new things in general due to school, I'm also very slow to embrace things. I didn't get into MLP until its 2nd season came out, I just recently got into Homestuck thanks to a friend which is another series on its way to a close, and I'm just now getting around to watching Disney XD's big shows like Gravity Falls and Star vs The Forces of Evil. Still though, I'm not head over heels in love with these things just because I'm still learning about them.
Because of that, I've sort of gone into a resuscitation remembering the things that are nostalgic to me and embracing the things that are known but aren't necessarily popular right now. I've been on a Godzilla high ever since IDW Comics started publishing new Godzilla stories and the 2014 film came out, I'm still very much into Pacific Rim, I'm actively hunting down as many Don Bluth DVDs as I can, and I recently downloaded Rare Replay for my Xbox One to replay and revist the games that inspired awe and imagination in my childhood. Just like when I was in kindergarten and grade school, I've shut myself into my own little world where I've had to learn to enjoy my interests alone because I'm simply not into the things that are popular now and because (some of) the fans of the current mainstream fandoms are extremely aggressive to the point of not being friendly. But that is about to change.

In 2014 I was touched to be able to share my love of Godzilla with the world and with a new generation of Kaiju fans because something very dear to my childhood and life today was brought back to life in a miraculous way. When I thought that it would stop there, I heard the greatest news ever from two of my most favorite people to come from Montreal.

After 22 years, one of my most favorite shows from Cartoon Network (heavily under rated IMO) is making a comeback. The Kickstarter has been closed for a few months now but the campaign was a complete success and they have raised enough money to create a 2 minute teaser for potential networks to see and revive the series. At long last, I will be able to share with everyone my love for T-Bone and Razor and not have people wondering who they are anymore.

But it doesn't stop there. Being as big a Godzilla fan as I am, I naturally tried to find out about other giant monsters outside of Big G and the Power Rangers since I wanted to know them all like all the other kids in my class wanted to catch all 151 Pokemon at the time. This lead to my discover of Gamera. Granted, I was never as big a fan of The Last Hope as I was Big G, but I still enjoyed his Heisei era films. But does this mean he's going by forgotten in the wake of Pokemona and Yokai Watch?

Eeyup! Gamera is back in the game! Dei Tei Studios is finally making a comeback with their iconic flying turtle in a revamped look just like Godzilla got with Legendary! After his 2003 movie, its about time he finally made a comeback!

After Power Rangers in Space, I decided that I had grown out of the series and I was content with its ending. But come the time of Fox's Fox Box lineup with my first introduction to anime, one show at the very end managed to rekindle my love for Japanese Henshin Heroes and Kaiju through a hero called Ultraman. Granted, I was a late comer to this franchise but I consider the 2000s series to be a part of my childhood just as much as the Rangers and Godzilla. If I'm talking about it, you know what that means.

Another famous Japanese pop culture icon and one of my favorite heroes as a child has finally made his CGI comeback. In a time where anime has been the focal point in Japanese pop culture, a hero older than both Kenshiro and Goku who founded the grounds for the modern day shonen epics is returning bigger and better than ever.

Now with all the epic things here, let's turn instead to some more comedic and lighthearted things from my childhood. While I did turn on Cartoon Network from time to time, my biggest drug for cartoons in the 90s was Nickelodeon. Rugrats, Doug *looks over shoulder to make sure Nostalgia Critic isn't listening*, Angry Beavers, and the others were big staples for my sense of humor back in the day. But one show that managed to be funny and also at time provoke some emotional reflection was Hey Arnold. I watched it as much as the other shows so it has plenty of nostalgic value for me. And as fate would have it, the series is about ot make a comeback alongside other classic 90s Nicktoons variety.com/2015/tv/news/hey-a… . Not only will the series be coming back to pick up where it left off, it will also be getting a second movie that was supposed to be the finale of the series as a whole. I'll be tuning in to catch this when it comes out and I'll be pre-ordering my tickets when the movie is set to come out.

With so much nostalgia and childhood favorites now being brought into the world of modern fandoms, you would think that a kid born in 1991 would be set for life now right? Oh dear readers, we've only scratched the surface. In case you're not up to date on Channel Awesome or don't know the right people to ask, animation legend Don Bluth, the creator of The Land Before Time, An American Tail, All Dogs Go to Heaven and Anastasia is making a comeback with a campaign to make a 2-D animated movie. Dragon's Lair. Don't believe me? Check out the trailer here for his Kickstarter www.eurogamer.net/articles/201… . The campaign itself has moved to Indiegogo.com and you can send your support here on December 1 www.indiegogo.com/projects/dra…

I am so happy to think of what this year shall entail. Sure there's a lot of other priorities that need to be taken care of but with all these things on the way, I feel like a kid again and I feel very excited to see the things I loved so much as a kid come back for a new generation to share in the love. To anyone else out there in their 20s reading this, I hope you're excited too.
